How Do You Learn Basic Dog Training Commands?
Since your dog is a part of your family, you want her socialized for public activities. You do not want your dog jumping up on hind legs to kiss someone on the face, nor do you want your dog deciding when and how to behave towards humans. Your role is to communicate how you want your dog to behave. Dog obedience training is one way to accomplish this. In the meantime, learn basic dog commands so that you are prepared. Off! Give this verbal command when a dog is jumping up on a person. You may also use this command when a dog is on furniture. Never use the command “down” in these situations.
