How Do You Learn About The World Using The CIA World Fact Book?
Learn how to use this resource to research every country. From Iraq to Burkina Faso, the Factbook can increase your knowledge. First, navigate to the CIA World Factbook website. You can search for it, or follow the link that I have included at the bottom of this article. To learn about the Factbook and how the information is arranged, use the yellow tabs at the top of the page. The About tab tells the history of the Factbook as well as some trivia regarding the book. The References tab explains how information in the Factbook is organized and includes definitions. The Appendices hold various tables of information, like weights and measures. To begin researching, click a region on the map. This will open another map, with the countries in the region listed.
