Lock n seal laminate flooring is relatively easy to lay and provides a durable appealing alternative to real hardwood. These steps will show you to basics of how to lay lock n seal laminate flooring. First, clean flooring surface completely removing all dirt, debris, thin set, glue etc. until smooth with no raised pieces or bits before you lay your lock n seal laminate. Next, take a section of your flooring and start in one corner and begin to lay your floor across the way you want your grain to flow. Usually front door to back of house is ideal to match hallways and make house look longer. Allow a 1/4 inch gap between wall edges and lay piece flat. Then hold another section of your lock n seal laminate with the locking edges together and fit together at a 45 degree angle. Press and tap lightly with the open palm of your hand until the two pieces of flooring snap together.
