Are you wanting to lay laminate, but are nervous about the task? Here are some tips to help you tackle the job. Start with a clean, level, and dry floor. Make sure the sub floor is level because your laminate could begin to squeak and crack on uneven sub floors. Get some spacers to put in the corner and lay your first full piece against the spacers on both sides of the corner. Lay your second piece next to the first piece against the spacers along the wall. Tap the second piece on the end to connect to the end of the first piece. Continue laying full pieces until you need to cut the next piece on the other side of the room. Measure the length and cut. Use a pull bar to join the last piece in the row to the second to last piece. Use the cut piece you didn’t use as the first piece in the second row and tap into the first piece laid.
