How Do You Landscape With Big Rocks?
Landscaping should include a collection of many different eye-catching objects. Flowers are a picturesque landscaping element, of course, but you can also use other objects to create a nice effect. One popular landscaping object is big rocks. Instead of simply placing big rocks in or around your landscape, place them properly by digging a shallow hole for them. This will make it appear as if the big rocks naturally occur within the landscape. Determine where you want to place the big rocks. Measure the bottom surface area of the first rock (where it will contact the ground) and write down the dimensions. Make an outline of the area determined in step 2 in the spot where you will place the rock by dragging the tip of a shovel along the ground. Dig inside the outlined area with the shovel. Make the hole between 4 and 6 inches deep and uniformly level. Move the rock into the hole with the help of an assistant. Be sure to wear work gloves.
