How Do You Landscape Stone Block Steps?
Stone block steps add a terracing effect to your landscape. They are an attractive addition when the landscape elements that surround them are complimentary to the rest of your plantings. There are a few preparations to the area around the steps that must be made before any landscaping can be done. Once the area is prepared your next consideration will be your plant selections. Remove any debris from the area around the stone steps. You are going to prepare a plant bed and the area should be free of rocks, stones, and grass (if the steps are in a lawn area.) Determine the width of your planting area. As a general rule, it should be at least a foot to a foot and a half wide as this will give most plants enough room to spread out.
