Lacing a pair of shoes “skater style” is actually not as hard as it may sound at first. A style used by people who want to make a fashion statement, or for those who need their laces out of the way for practical reasons, skater style lacing doesn’t require any special materials or laces. All you need are the shoes you already have and you can perform a single trick on the top two holes of your shoes. Begin lacing your shoes at the toe. Work your way upwards and lace the shoe towards the heel. It doesn’t really matter at this point what style of lacing you want to use until you get up to the last gromit in your shoes. Make sure that when you put the laces through the final gromit at the top of the shoe, the laces are going inwards rather than outwards.
