How Do You Lace Dockers Castaway Shoes?
The Dockers Castaway shoe is traditional boat shoe with lacing around the back and sides of the shoe as well as in front of the shoe. While the shoe normally comes pre-laced the laces may break, causing problems for wearers. The shoes can be re-laced, although getting a new lace into the side eyelets can be difficult. Starting at the back of the shoe feed the lace into the right side eyelet. Use the wire to guide the lace through to the other side. It may take a couple of tries to get it through. Once it is through make sure the two ends are equal. Go one side at a time to get the lacing around the edges replaced. Taking the lace on the right side, feed it into the next eyelet on the right, again using the wire to guide the lace through. Your lace will end up on the outside of the shoe so that it creates an “over” appearance. Feed it into the next hole and find the eyelet; use the wire because this part can be nearly impossible.
