How Do You Know When To Throw Out A Bottle Of Nail Polish?
Nail polish, like other cosmetics, has its shelf life and must eventually be disposed of when it can no longer be used. This guide will tell you when it is time to throw out an old bottle of polish and replace it with the same color or a new color. Take out your storage container of nail polishes and line them up on a table or counter. Before shaking each bottle, check and see if there is any left in the bottle. Nail polish settles in a bottle over time and will show a line through the clear glass bottle it comes in. Gently shake a bottle for a minute to get the blending beads mixing. Open the bottle to see if the polish appears to be thin. If a bead of polish forms on the end of the brush, put the cap back on and shake the bottle again for another minute. Open it again and see if the polish still appears to be thick. If you are not sure, use the brush to spread a small portion of polish on a heavy piece of paper, like poster board paper.
