How Do You Knit One-Over-One Stitches On A Knitting Loom?

0

The one-over-one is a very basic knitting loom stitch. The appearance of this stitch will depend on the type of yarn used and the gauge of the loom, or the space between the pegs. One-over-one stitches made with an average weight yarn (worsted weight) results in very loose stitches suitable for knitting see-through bags and other items where a loose stitch is desired. One-over-one stitches are sometimes described as lacy or loose stitches. These stitches may also be used for very bulky yarns such as fur or feathery yarns. With these yarns the loose stitches will not be as noticeable, and work well for yarns that are otherwise too bulky to knit tight stitches. Ewrap the loom so that each peg to be used is wrapped twice, or has two “e” loops. For more information, see “How to Ewrap a Knitting Loom” in the resource section below. After you have wrapped each peg twice, begin “knitting off.” Knitting off is done by hooking the bottom loop with a loom hook. Pull it over the top loop and off
