How Do You Kill White Clover And Tall Fescue?
White clover is an annual weed that has broad shamrock shaped leaves and white ball shaped flowers. It tends to thrive in moist, low fertility soil. Clover plants are aggressive weeds that can choke out grass. Similar in aggression is tall fescue. It is a cool-season grass that begins growing long before other plants start to grow and thrive. This weed is very durable in times of drought and flood. The only way to get rid of both of these weeds is to apply a post-emergent herbicide that will not kill other vegetation. Put on gloves, face mask, and goggles. Walk around and spray all of the fescue after it begins to grow in the cold season. Spray the clover as it appears during its respective growing season, typically the beginning to mid-spring. Repeat once a month until the weeds die. Pull up dead weeds and dispose of them in the trash can or burn them.
