Painting the panes around windows and the narrow wood strips that divide some window panes can be tricky. No matter how careful you try to be, smears or blobs of paint are often left on the glass. Scraping the dried paint off can be time consuming, and if you’re not careful, you can scratch the glass. There is a very easy way to avoid the hassle of getting paint on windows. Before you apply paint to the wood, the wall around your windows or the muntins (the narrow strips of wood that divide the windows into smaller panes), clean the surface of the glass with a window cleaner and dry completely. Apply the masking tape that is specifically for painting along the edges of your window, between the wall and window panes on all sides of the window.
