After putting lots of effort into creating a jack-o’-lantern to decorate the front porch, it’s disheartening for vandals to destroy it or steal it. Here are ways to protect that jack o lantern. When you get ready for bed each night, bring in the jack-o’-lantern. Put it back out the next evening. Keep the front curtains open, so you can glance out and see what’s going on in the front yard. Instead of displaying the jack-o’-lantern in the open (on steps or porch), display it inside where it can be seen through a window. If it’s a recurring problem and you’re high-tech savvy, then put a camera on the porch aimed at the jack-o’-lantern.
