How Do You Keep A Good School Attendance Record?
• Avoid temptation to skip class. Even if doing so doesn’t affect you at the time, it will catch up with you later. Remember: People who cut class may not get into the best schools. • Try to avoid things that will make you sick. Have good hygiene and do your best to stay away from kids who look ill. • If you feel sick, think carefully about going to school. On the one hand, you have a record to maintain, but, on the other, you don’t need to go to school with all those germs in tow. • If you choose to go to school, but later feel sick, do not hesitate to tell your teacher (after the attendance form goes to the office). No record is worth feeling miserable! Make sure you get credit during roll call: Say “Here!” or “Present!” loudly enough to be heard.
