Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I’m perfectly fine starting the fun a few months early. It used to be multiple generations of carved jack o lanterns would shrivel and mold into slime on my porch before Halloween, but now one set lasts the whole season. This is due partly to postponing the carving until October (the glow in the dark pumpkin is good until then) and partly from judicious application of homemade pumpkin preservatives: Do you have any other pumpkin preservation tips?
