I have a love-hate relationship with automobiles. I love that I don’t have to walk the fifty miles to work or anywhere else I want to go. I hate it when my ride strands me in a parking lot or on the side of the road, which occurs even more frequently when logging hundreds of miles a week. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: despite cell phones, AAA, and OnStar, a woman may find herself alone and in trouble on the side of the road. Between unpredictable traffic and the crazies out there, it is a dangerous situation. Ladies, we owe it to ourselves to be prepared for the basics like changing a tire or jumping off a dead battery! It’s easier than you might think … Every car manual I’ve ever thumbed through includes instructions to jump off a battery using jumper cables.
