How Do You Iron A Cotton Shirt?
Are you still taking your cotton shirts to the cleaners to have them pressed? It’s not that hard to do it at home, as long as you know a few tips help you along. It is important to do the sleeves and collar first, especially the sleeves as you don’t want to wrinkle the body after you have already pressed it. Lay the sleeves out flat on the ironing board with the button side of the cuff up. Iron out the cuff first, then make sure the sleeve is flat and has no creases on the other side. If this is impossible don’t worry, you can take any creases out when you flip it over. Spray it down with water or starch if desired and iron it flat. Flip it over and touch up the other side and do the same with the other sleeve. This will leave a crease in the sleeve. If you want it out, the best way is with a sleever, a small ironing board that the sleeve will fit over.
