If you are a Gmail subscriber you can chat with other Gmail and Google Talk users. The Gmail chat service is simple to activate. There are three ways to invite a Gmail contact to chat with you. Here they are. Log in to Gmail. Add a “Quick Contact” to chat with you by floating the cursor over the person’s name in the Quick Contact menu. When the profile box appears, choose the “Invite to Chat” button. Add a friend to chat by clicking the “Add Contact” link at the bottom of the Quick Contact box. Choose your friend’s email address from the list or add your friend’s email address in the text field. Click the “Send Invites” button at the bottom of the page. If they have a Gmail account, the service sends an invitation to your friend inviting him to chat. If he does not, Gmail invites him to sign up for a free account.
