A Unit Investment Trust or “UIT” is an investment product made up of a fixed, unmanaged portfolio of securities, usually stocks and bonds. The sponsor or investment company will sell “units” from this portfolio to investors at an agreed upon price and expiration date. UITs are considered good investments for income or growth strategies.
