Cupcake you’re right about the 3 priorities but there’s a little more to it where hermits are concerned. Hermits are harvested and quickly swept into captivity. They go on a stressful and whirlwind journey going from native inland to being collected, warehoused, packed tightly, shipped in all kinds of weather for any length of time till they reach their stores and if it’s a PetSmart they first go to HQ where the shipment is broken down into smaller ones and then reshipped to it’s shores. Finally they wind up in a store tank, often without sufficient climate or basic needs being properly met. When we get them they’re usually dehydrated and suffering from nutritional deficiencies, have had insufficient rest and/or are overdue for a molt.
