How Do You Install Wooden Fence Posts?
There’s a trick to installing wooden fence posts that most people are unaware of. The trick involves the way in which you put the cement around your posts. By using this one simple trick, you can cut the time it takes to set fence posts almost in half while doing less work. Dig a post hole that is approximately 24 inches deep. This can be done with a post hole digger or with a shovel. Put the wooden fence post into the hole and stand it approximately straight. Pour 2 25-lb. bags of ready-mix dry concrete into the hole. Stand the post up perfectly straight using your level on three sides of the post. Fill the hole (with the dry concrete mix) with water. Add water until the concrete mix is thoroughly wet, but not so much water than it runs out of the hole. You will need approximately 3 gallons of water.
