How Do You Install Wood Laminate Over Ceramic Tile Flooring?
Whether you’re looking for an update to a house you just bought or changed your mind about that ceramic tile you installed a couple of years ago, installing wood laminate flooring is a relatively inexpensive remodel that the average do-it-yourselfer can accomplish in a few hours. A properly laid ceramic tile flooring will provide an excellent support base for your new wood laminate floor. Allow the laminate to sit in the room where it will be installed for at least 24 hours. Some manufacturers specify longer. Make sure that the ceramic tile flooring is even and clear of debris. Remove the baseboard moulding from the walls. Begin by unrolling the moisture barrier over the tiles. Use clear packing tape to tie pieces together. Unroll the padding on top of the barrier.
