How do you install windows xp sp2 or newer on to my computer?

You have to buy Windows Xp if you don’t already have it or update it to servicepack 2 (sp2) if you haven’t already. Windows Vista will work too if you want a newer operating system. If you do buy a new copy of windows install the new operating system on your computer. You do that by putting the boot disk in the computer, restart the computer and hold escape while it’s booting up, it’ll go to a boot menu choose to boot from your cd/dvd drive that the windows cd is in, press enter and let it boot up. It’ll load a menu that asks if you want to repair an existing windows installation or install the new one. You want to pick the new one and reformat your hard drive being sure to delete the old os partition that’s already on it. This means your old operating system and all it’s files will be completely erased no way of getting it back. Then you’ll install the new Windows operating system and reinstall all your programs including itunes and your ipod should work.
