How Do You Install Wheel Chocks For Hauling A Motorcycle?
Wheel chocks secure the front wheel of a motorcycle to a mounting surface such as a trailer or truck bed. They prevent forward and backward rolling of the motorcycle and side-to-side leaning. When used with tie-downs or straps, wheel chocks enable motorcyclists to haul their motorcycles safely to their destination. Before installing the wheel chock, make sure the motorcycle wheel fits within the wheel chock opening. Ensure the mounting surface (e.g., trailer, truck bed) supports the weight of the motorcycle and wheel chock. Clean the mounting surface and wheel chock with warm water to prevent corrosion. Dry the mounting surface and wheel chock with a clean cloth. Use the base of the wheel chock as a drilling template. Place the wheel chock base plate in the desired mounting location for the motorcycle’s front wheel. Face the wheel chock opening in the direction of the rear wheel. Mark the attachment points with a pen. Remove the wheel chock base plate. Drill the marked attachment point
