If you obtain your your television programming via satellite, you need to have a separate receiver for each television. Although you can connect a receiver to the television yourself, you need a satellite dish that has multiple tuners. Each tuner connects to a different dish receiver, giving you the ability to watch satellite connected television in different rooms of your home. Contact your satellite provider and inform them you want to add a second satellite receiver if you don’t currently have two. Most satellite providers allow you to upgrade to two without a service charge. Set up a date and a time window for when the satellite technician can stop by and install the new satellite dish. At this time you need to tell the technician where you want the second receiver.
