Be careful not to break the shower pipe inside the wall. Use hammer and pry bar to remove any soap dishes and corner objects that are permanently attached to tile. Use sander and 80 grit sandpaper to remove the finish from all the tile; tile should not be glossy when done. This will take a lot of sandpaper. The best sander to use is a palm sander.
