How Do You Install Trim On Kitchen Cabinet Doors?
Update your kitchen cabinets by installing trim on the cabinet doors. Trim adds an architectural component to your doors, turning otherwise plain cabinet fronts into complimentary design elements. Trims are available at home improvement stores in a variety of styles and can be stained or painted to coordinate with your existing cabinets. Remove the cabinet door and set the hinges aside in a safe place. Measure the width and height of the door using a metal tape measure. Make a note of the measurements. For example, your door may measure 14 inches wide by 18 inches high. Measure 1 1/2 inches from the top of the door at the center and mark with a pencil. Measure 1 1/2 inches from the bottom of the door at the center and mark with a pencil. Repeat for each side. Use a ruler or other straight edge to mark out a rectangle on your door, using your pencil marks as guides. Hold the ruler vertically along the mark you made on the left side of the door and draw a straight line approximately the
