How Do You Install Trijicon Night Sights?
Trijicon Night Sights are replacement sights for handguns. They offer a dramatic increase in accuracy over stock sights. The difference lies in the glowing dots on the Trijicon Night Sights. These glowing dots are the result of tiny amounts of radioactive isotopes in glass vials fitted into the sights. Trijicon recommends having the sights on your handgun professionally replaced with Trijicon sights, but if you would rather do it yourself, follow these instructions. Field strip your handgun. Remove the magazine and clear the round that may be chambered. Remove the slide. Remove the front sight using the Allen wrench. Use masking tape on the slide to protect the finish. Chuck the metal punch into the drill press. Clamp the slide into the drill press. Position the vice so that the punch is centered on the side of the old rear sight. Secure the vice to the drill press table. Press the old sight out of the dovetail slot, using the drill press. Do not turn the drill press on–just push down
