How Do You Install Tile Edge Trims?
Installing tile yourself can seem intimidating at first, especially the tile edge trim. Concerns over measuring, placing and cutting the tile properly are legitimate, but installing the trim is not as hard as it first seems. The measurements should be accurate, but if they are a bit off, it won’t show in most applications. If the tile edge trim is being installed on a counter top or floor, the sink or bottom wall molding will cover any tile that is not cut to the exact measurement, taking a lot of concern out of the process. Measure the trim areas and tile pieces, mark where the tile needs to be cut with carpenter’s chalk, then lay the tile in front of the tiling area. Measure the trim area and the tile at the same time if you are working on a large room. Place the tile spacer against the tile next to it and measure the cut from the spacer to the wall to account for grout lines. Always measure twice for accuracy.
