The Visual Basic for Application (VBA) language creates a lightweight solution for programming functions in the Microsoft Office environment including Word. VBA is not installed by default on your computer, so you receive errors when you attempt to implement your solution. The VBA language is an option installed from the Microsoft Office CD. You can add VBA to the Word application even after Office has been installed. Insert the Microsoft Office installation CD into the drive. Click the Windows “Start” button and select “Run.” Enter “d:\setup” into the text box and press “OK.” Replace “d” with your CD-ROM drive letter.
