How Do You Install The Honeywell Programmable Thermostat?
Honeywell’s most sophisticated programmable thermostats have outdoor sensors that provide outdoor temperature on the interior display. They can also have remote controls. Installation consists of mounting and wiring the thermostat; customizing the thermostat; installing batteries in the wireless accessories like the outdoor sensors; linking the sensors to the thermostat and mounting the outdoor sensor. Mount and wire the thermostat. Pull the wires through the hole in the wall and connect them to the screw terminals. Honeywell thermostats use the universally recognized abbreviations for system wiring. For example, the wire connected to the terminal block marked “Y2” should come from the second stage compressor. “Y” is for Compressor relay; “G” for fan relay; “RH” for heating power and so on. Check the user guide for the full list. Mount the thermostat, using screws, a screwdriver and plugs. Drill a pilot hole or plug hole as necessary. Customize the thermostat. Press the Down Arrow butt
