How Do You Install Supports For Hanging Plants?
Do you have a plant that you want hung up, but you’re not sure how to do that? Some plants don’t work too well sitting on top of the mantle, such as ivy or vines. They tend to need more room to spread out as opposed to other plants. Here are the steps you need to take to install supports for any hanging plants. Locate the area that you want the plant to hang from. Find an area where your plant will be happy and get lots of sunlight. Use the stud finder to locate a stud in the ceiling or wall. This will ensure that the plant hook can support the weight of the plant. If you don’t install the hook support in a stud, then the hook will just fall out of the wall when you try to hang your plant on it. Plaster by itself can’t support much weight. Screw the metal hook into the wall. This may take a bit of muscle. If it’s hard to go in, then it will (usually) be tough to come out. Test the strength of the hook support. Grab the hook and tug on it a little bit to see if it falls out of the wall.
