Microsoft SQL Server provides small and large companies with the ability to serve dynamic content. SQL Server is a database application that hosts a central point for saved data. SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Manager manages the interface between the database administrator and the server engine. It allows administrators to add tables and stored procedures, create user permissions and allocate database storage capacity. Enterprise Manager is a part of the client tools located on the SQL Server 2000 installation CD. Insert the SQL Server installation CD into the computer’s drive. The autorun process automatically starts the installation process and displays a splash screen. Select “SQL Server 2000 Components” in the list of options and click “Next.” Enter “Local Computer” in the text box displayed.
