The Vista Service Pack 2 includes important updates such as compatibility with non-Microsoft programs, compatibility with new hardware and general updates such as search and index abilities. Windows XP users should search for Service Pack 3 specific to their operating system. Windows 7 users should look for Service Pack 1. If you have an Internet connection on your home PC, then installing Service Pack 2 is straightforward. Turn on automatic updates on the computer.
