How Do You Install Security Tint On A Car Window?
Security tinting on car windows is different from regular tinting. While normal tinting simply blocks out harmful sun rays, security tinting prevents people from looking into the vehicle. This tinting film is specially designed with an opaque side that blocks out a view from the outside while keeping a slightly transparent side to allow sight from within the car. Once you know which side needs to face which direction, applying such tint is basically the same as applying any other. This is still a difficult process that may require an assistant’s help. Peel off the original tint from the window if it has any. There are two layers and only the outer layer peels easily, The side windows can be peeled with a razor blade. For the rear window, spray it with ammonia, cover the inside of the window with plastic and leave it in the sun for an hour (cover all seats and upholstery before using the ammonia).
