Lighting is one of the most important parts of kitchen. Having the proper lighting in a kitchen allows homeowners to accentuate their favorite features, and creates task lighting that will provide for better food preparation areas. If you have a kitchen that needs more lighting, consider installing rope lighting under your kitchen cabinets. Rope lighting is available in kits. Mark the area under your cabinets where you’ll place the rope lighting. Use a pencil to mark the lighting’s path. Drill holes in the bottom side of the wall cabinets, using the pencil marks as a guide. Use a drill bit that is slightly larger than the rope lighting. Attach the rope lighting place through the holes. Use cable clips (or staples) to secure the rope lighting to the bottom of the cabinetry.
