How Do You Install RAM In Laptop Computer?
Since laptop computers are portable, it is easy to take advantage of the ability to be able to work away from home or the office. Over time, however, a laptop computer may need a memory upgrade simply to keep up with software updates and upgrades. A laptop user may also wish to simply improve the performance of her laptop. For that reason, installing more Random Access Memory, or RAM, may be necessary. Place the laptop upside down. Put on an antistatic wrist strap. Loosen the memory compartment retaining screws, and remove the memory compartment cover. If all available memory slots are occupied with memory modules, remove one memory module from the computer. Carefully insert the memory module into the memory slot until the memory module snaps into place. Replace the memory compartment cover, and tighten the memory compartment retaining screws. Turn on the computer and boot into the setup, or BIOS, menu. Select “Save and Exit” in the BIOS menu, and reboot the computer.
