How Do You Install Race Seats In A Mustang?
A number of aftermarket providers sell race seats and other performance accessories for Mustangs. Make sure you purchase them from a reputable company. This tutorial is primarily designed for Mustangs built between 1994 and 2004, although the steps will be similar for other year models. Swapping out the seats in your Mustang is an easy way to spruce up the car’s interior. Pop the hood and unhook your Mustang’s negative battery cable. Reach underneath the front of the seat and detach the electrical connector. Use the adjustment feature to slide the seat as far backward as it will go. Remove the two retainer covers from the front seat track to access the mounting bolts. Once the bolts are removed, slide the seat as far forward as possible. Remove the two retainer covers from the rear seat track. Remove the two mounting bolts. Lift the factory seat and its hardware from the Mustang. Be careful not to scratch your interior panels and paint. Repeat the entire procedure to remove both seats.
