How Do You Install Quicktime 7 On Mac OS X Snow Leopard?
Apple’s video program, Quicktime, underwent some major changes during Apple’s transition to the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard operating system. Although many people like the new iteration of Quicktime (called Quicktime X), other people do not like it because it lost a lot of features that its predecessor, Quicktime 7, has. If you are among the group of people who wish to revert back to Quicktime 7, don’t fret. There is a way to do just that. Follow these quick and easy steps to get Quicktime 7 back: Put the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard operating system disk into your computer. If you bought a brand new Mac, this is one of the cds that came included with the computer. Open the folder labelled “Optional Installs.” Inside you will see a file called “Optional Installs.mpkg.” Open this file. In the menu that comes up, find Quicktime 7. You will then be able to install Quicktime 7 on your computer. Once installed, open the Utilities folder on your computer. Quicktime 7 will now be there!
