How Do You Install Printer Cartridges On An HP PSC 1410 Printer?

Fading text is usually a good sign your cartridge is running out of ink. This is a good time to replace the cartridge. Proper and careful installation of your cartridges helps minimize the chance of damaged electronic contacts between cartridge and printer. Here’s how to install an ink print cartridge in the HP PSC 1410 printer. Make sure the HP is on and paper is loaded in the tray. Gently lower the print carriage access door at the front of the unit. Do not force it. Press down on the print cartridge gently to release it. Pull it towards you and remove. Take the new cartridge out of its packaging. Gently remove the plastic tape by pulling on the pink pull tab. Slide the new print cartridge into the empty slot, and gently push forward until it clicks into place. If it does not click, do not force it. Remove it, and try again. Close the print carriage access door. An alignment sheet will print to make sure everything is lining up.
