Cut the board by scoring it with a razor knife and snapping it. Affix the board to the countertop with carpenter’s glue spread over the surface. Sink screws every square foot or so using the screwgun and one-inch galvanized screws. Cover the front vertical edge of the countertop as well, using a thin strip of cement board. Use your carpenter’s level and pencil to mark a line through the middle of the countertop,
