How Do You Install Plastic Pool Liners?
A plastic pool liner covers the inside of an above-ground pool so it forms a water-tight container. The edges of the liner typically drape over the pool sides and are held in place with clips. Proper installation prevents tears, rips or other damage to the pool liner. Step 1 Lay out the pool liner in a large, sunny area for about 15 to 30 minutes. The plastic will get warm and be easier to mold inside the pool. Step 2 Spread out the liner inside the pool. The seams should sit at the base of the pool walls. Step 3 Pull the sides of the liner up and over the pool walls. Make sure at least several inches of liner overhang the edge. Step 4 Secure the edges around the pool wall using the clips provided (sometimes called coping strips). The clips typically fasten onto the top of the wall by pressing down on them.
