Microsoft Outlook is a part of the Microsoft Office Suite. Since it’s a single component, you can install it without installing the rest of the Microsoft XP Office package from your installation disk. Once you install the software, you can use it as a main or back-up email client. Microsoft Outlook can connect to Internet or internal network email servers, so it’s a popular application for home and business users. Insert the Office installation disk into the drive. The auto-run feature should bring up a splash screen with a list of options. Enter the product key in the first screen. The product key is on a yellow sticker attached to the disk’d packaging. Click the “Next” button. Enter your username, initials and organization information in the next window. This information is used to prepopulate information while using Microsoft Outlook.
