The windshield wipers on your Toyota Corolla DX need to be checked and replaced every 6 months if there is any sign of damage. Windshield wipers that aren’t working properly can cause a car accident. They can also scratch the windshield if the rubber part of the blade is worn down and the metal blade assembly is scratching the windshield. Replacement wipers for your Corolla DX can be purchased from most auto parts stores. The DX model uses 18 inch wipers. Pull the windshield-wiper arm away from the windshield until the arm locks in a vertical position. Swing the wiper blade away from the arm so that it sits perpendicular to the wiper arm. Push down on the release tab on the wiper-blade assembly and pull the wiper blade away from the wiper arm. Slide the new wiper blade onto the arm until it locks onto the arm. It will click once it is locked in place. Rotate the blade assembly so that it sits flat against the wiper arm and lower the arm back to the windshield.
