Installing outdoor motion lights is an excellent way to immediately upgrade the security level of your home. Motion sensor lights are quite affordable when compared to most electronic alarm systems on the market. Follow these steps and you will see that this job is similar to changing any common household light fixture. Step 1 Shut of the power on your circuit breaker or corresponding fuse in your fuse box. Turn the switch on and off to make sure power has been properly shut off to the existing fixture. Step 2 Remove the old light fixture with the appropriate screwdriver. Unscrew the caps or remove electrical tape from the wiring so the fixture is completely removed from the fixture compartment. Step 3 Screw in the provided bracket to the now empty fixture compartment. This will provide a corresponding anchor for the base of the motion sensor light being installed.
