How Do You Install Mosaic Tile Panels?
Mosaic tiles can add a certain something to any room in your home, including your kitchen or bathroom. Once installed, these tiles create a new look. If you install the tiles yourself, not only do you gain a new look but save the expense of having someone install it for you. Determine the center of the space you are installing your tile, whether it is the floor, counter or wall. Snap a chalk line from corner to diagonal corner, and then from the center of each wall to the center of the wall across from it. Start in one of the square quadrants. Apply the thinset mortar to the wall within that center quadrant. Score it with the notched side of the trowel’s blade. Try to make sure that the mortar is spread as evenly as possible. Remove the backing from the mosaic tiles and press the square into the thinset mortar, right side or decorated side up. Press the mosaic tile into the thinset mortar with your hands. Failure to do this evenly could result in bums behind the tiles, so take time wit
