Microsoft Loopback Adapter works in conjunction with the Windows server system. The adapter creates a firewall to protect networks from unwanted Internet communication, provides host-to-guest internal networking and allows multiple machines to access the Internet through a single connection. The Microsoft Loopback Adapter is packaged with the Windows server, but has to be installed manually after the server system has been installed and configured.
