How Do You Install Microsoft Bluetooth Drivers?
In order to use Bluetooth devices, such as certain wireless keyboards, mice, microphones, web cams or printers, your computer needs to be equipped with a Bluetooth driver that allows the computer to communicate with the Bluetooth device. All versions of Windows after Windows XP Service Pack 2 have a standard Bluetooth driver already installed on the computer. However, if your XP machine is not working with your Bluetooth device, you will need to manually install Service Pack 2. Download the Service Pack 2. See Resources. Open the file once the download is complete and follow the directions to install Service Pack 2 on your machine. The installation process can take up to an hour depending on the speed of your computer. Reinstall your Bluetooth device. Service Pack 2 should have installed the required generic Bluetooth driver.
