AutoRoute is an application used to map directions to destinations using GPS technology. The application has several dependent components, so the failure of one component may leave the application unstable, and it may not work properly. Additionally, AutoRoute needs to be run from the CD if not fully installed on the computer. Full installation of AutoRoute only takes a few steps. Click the Windows “Start” button and select “Settings.” Select the “Control Panel” icon. Double-click the “Add/Remove Programs” icon. A window opens with the list of installed applications. If you have previously installed AutoRoute and it is not working properly, uninstall the application prior to installation. Click the “AutoRoute” icon and select “Remove.” The application will uninstall. Restart the computer to ensure the changes have taken effect. Insert the AutoRoute CD into the computer.
