How Do You Install Mesh Backed Glass Mosaic Tile?
Glass mosaic tile can be a beautiful addition to any home renovation, or just a simple way to spruce up a tired-looking bathroom or kitchen. The best thing about mosaic tile is that it comes pre-assembled on a mesh backing and is available in thousands of designs. If you are handy, you can easily install it yourself. Peel away paper backing from the mosaics and remove any excess glue. Spread a thin layer of tile adhesive over the area where you want to install the mosaic tile using a large putty knife. Make sure it is smooth and evenly spread. Set the mosaic tiles into the layer of adhesive, using a level or measuring to make sure it is evenly set. Let it set for 24 hours. After 24 hours, apply tile grout in between each tile and use your putty knife to smooth the grout. With a damp cloth, wipe away any excess grout on the tile faces. When the grout is completely dry, apply marble tile sealant over top of the entire mosaic. Marble tile sealant seals the mosaic and brings out the colors
